There’s something quietly regal about white daffodils — like nature decided to give them a crisp tuxedo with a dash of gold flair. This stainless steel daffodil sculpture captures that elegance with heat-patinated white petals that frame a glowing golden trumpet. No paint, no enamel, no shortcuts — just flame coaxing natural color from steel until it blooms.

Stainless steel daffodil sculpture with white petals and golden center, flame-painted and handmade wall art by artist Aiden Dale

One of my favorite parts of sculpting flowers in stainless steel is honoring both their fragility and their strength. Real daffodils bow to the season, but this one stands tall forever, its petals catching light differently from every angle. I let the metal tell me where the glow wanted to rest, letting torch fire bring out shimmering golds surrounded by petals that are the beautiful natural silver of the stainless.

Whether you display it indoors as a piece of fine art or let it shine as a permanent bloom in your garden, this white and gold daffodil brings a touch of spring to every space. For collectors of stainless steel sculpture or anyone who’s ever wished a flower could last forever, this daffodil is both a celebration of nature and a little bit of defiance against time.

This piece is wall hanging and should stay inside. If kept outside it will be structurally fine but the bright iridescent striping on the leaves will fade to a brownish color over time.
