Magnolias have always felt larger than life — their blossoms bold, fragrant, and impossible to ignore. This sculpture takes that spirit and gives it permanence in stainless steel. Measuring roughly 24" across, it’s about the size of a wreath, making it a striking statement piece for any wall, indoors or out.
At the heart of the bloom is a detailed stamen bundle, surrounded by silver petals that gleam in the natural color of stainless steel. Around the flower, a ring of leaves creates a frame each leaf has burnt edges to help it feel more organic rather than engineered. I gave each leaf bead-rolled “veins” for texture, then used torch fire to coax out a gradient of color: blue at the edges fading into purple, then finally to the coldest color, gold at the center.
For me, magnolias also carry a sense of home. Having grown up in North Carolina, their blooms feel like a familiar welcome — a reminder of porches shaded by massive trees and spring air heavy with their scent.
The result is a magnolia that feels both refined and alive, a forever bloom captured at its peak. As light shifts across the surface, the colors shift too, making it an artwork that never looks quite the same twice.
For collectors of stainless steel flower art or anyone who loves magnolias, this piece is both sculpture and celebration — a bloom that never fades, framed in fire-colored leaves.
This sculpture is safe to be kept outside.
