Sometimes a single bloom isn't enough. Sometimes I want the whole garden. This full stainless steel flower planter sculpture was a celebration of variety, color, and permanence. Measuring 38" wide, 32" tall, and 14" deep, it holds an entire bouquet of handcrafted metal flowers, each one coaxed to life with nothing more than heat and grinding.
Metal Flower Planter Sculpture

Metal Flower Planter Sculpture
The handmade soft maple planter box was stained with a deep black walnut finish, grounding the composition and giving the illusion that the flowers were truly sprouting from soil. Hidden within the box are the bases of each bloom, their stems disappearing into wood just like a living planter.
The cast of characters is delightfully eclectic:
- Two tulips in shimmering blues and purples with golden interiors.
- A fully golden daffodil glowing like sunlight.
- A fully silver daffodil gleaming in the natural color of stainless steel.
- A daffodil with silver petals and a golden center, bright and balanced.
- A daisy with silver petals and a golden center, its hand-ground seed details sparkling in the light.
- Two poppies, one fully gold with blue accents, the other silver with golden and blue hues, each crowned with an intricate stamen bundle.
Together, the flowers create a dynamic display of cool tones against warm, polished silver against flame-painted golds and blues. The effect was both playful and elegant, a metal flower arrangement that never wilts.
This Flower Planter sculpture is free standing, made entirely of stainless steel, colored using only heat patinas, and must be kept indoors!
