The center, like its siblings, was where the real obsession happened: a welded seed pod surrounded by a ring of hand-bent stamens, each one ground to catch light. It was painstaking work, but it was what made the flower feel alive.
Without roots, this piece took on the feel of a cut bloom, elegant and immediate, as if someone had plucked it from the garden and held it up to the sun. The silver petals gave it a quiet dignity while the torch-colored stem and leaves kept it alive with fire.
