There was something quietly regal about white daffodils, like nature decided to give them a crisp tuxedo with a dash of gold flair. I wanted to capture that elegance in this stainless steel daffodil sculpture with heat-patinated white petals framing a glowing golden trumpet. No paint, no enamel, no shortcuts, just flame coaxing natural color from steel until it bloomed.
Gold and White Daffodil Sculpture

Gold and White Daffodil Sculpture
One of my favorite parts of sculpting metal flowers was honoring both their fragility and their strength. Real daffodils bow to the season, but this one stood tall, its petals catching light differently from every angle. I let the metal tell me where the glow wanted to rest, letting torch fire bring out shimmering golds surrounded by petals in the beautiful natural silver of the stainless.
I've also made other daffodil sculptures: Gold Daffodil and White Daffodil.
This metal daffodil sculpture is wall hanging, made entirely of stainless steel, colored using only heat patinas, and must be kept indoors!
