This stainless steel daffodil sculpture might look pure and simple at first glance, crisp white petals gleaming with the natural silver of the metal. But a closer look revealed the secret: a stem and leaves touched by flame, painted not with pigments but with fire itself. Torch heat brought out rich greens and magentas with a golden stem, turning the supporting parts of the metal flower into a living contrast against the polished petals.

I loved playing with balance in my flower sculptures, giving darker color to the leaves to root the bright silver of the petals. This piece felt both elegant and playful, a forever bloom that didn't fade, droop, or need water.
